Robotics Software Quality Engineer

We are seeking experienced junior and senior level Software Quality Engineers to join our North Reading and Bedford Robotics Engineering Team. This team focusses on inventing and automating the necessary hardware and software test solutions to enable Teradyne's development of vision guided robotic solutions.
Duties include:
Serve as Robotics Software Quality Engineering team member coordinating closely with Software, Hardware and Applications engineers during the development and release process.
Execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for automated testing of software and hardware based vision guided robotics solutions
Invent and execute test plans for robotics/automation technology hardware and software
Analyze the data created by automated robotics testing, report the findings and understand the impact on product quality
Recommend robotic testing or design solutions, and new robotics product features or vision software application functionality
Validate customer provided test cases to understand how actual deployed collaborative robots are performing in customer manufacturing scenarios in the field
Provide status updates on a regular basis for the overall test plans on each project
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required
Required Attributes & Abilities:
Analytical and problem solving skills combined with the creativity to design and implement "out of the box" solutions are a must.
Design complex software and hardware verification plans from the ground up for vision guided robotics products
You should be equally comfortable with electro-mechanical hardware and software
Great attention to detail and strong communication skills are critical.
Team oriented and highly collaborative.
Genuine passion for technological innovation, especially as it involves robotics/automation technology hardware and software
Required Skills & Experience:
BS Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical or Software Engineering or equivalent
Experience with, and a passion for, complex robotics solutions to real world manufacturing problems
Experience coding automated test solutions with Java (required) and C++ (a bonus)
Experience developing proprietary automated test solutions, ideally utilizing a Jenkins-based environment
Familiarity with the use of software tools for feature and bug tracking (eg: Gitlab, Jira, etc)
At least 2 years of Quality Engineer experience as an integral part of a development team, including understanding the full product development lifecycle.
Experience building and maintaining automated test environments.
Relevant industry related experience a strong bonus, especially in development of robotics or vision processing software.
Experience with UI test frameworks such as Squish.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
