Duties & Responsibilities:
Join Teradyne?s Continuing Engineering team as a Hardware Engineer at our headquarters located in North Reading, MA .
As a naturally curious and driven problem solver, you will be rolling up your sleeves to debug system and instrument level issues. You will develop new design enhancements to advance performance and reliability of our instruments, address customer inquiries and resolve engineering related defects and discontinuances.
You will integrate with all parts of the organization - Applications, Marketing, Operations and Sales - to provide continuing support for the installed base of existing Semiconductor Test ATE platforms\"
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
? Lead and provide timely engineering solutions to customer support issues.
? Implement necessary design changes and perform statistical analysis to validate circuit performance.
? Troubleshoot HW using Visual Basic SW Tools, C++ and Python.
? Must be capable of debugging system hardware problems and isolate failure to the individual instrument component.
? Must be capable of leading activities to resolve factory ?line-down? issues in a timely and efficient manner, taking ownership of issues from identification of issue through deployment of resolution.
? Integrate with Global Field Service, Applications, Operations and Supply Line Management.
? Resolve component obsolescence issues by qualifying new devices and ensuring equivalent fit, form and function.
? Travel to customer sites or manufacturers located anywhere in the world to investigate and solve engineering issues (5% to 10%).

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:
? Education requirements of BSEE or equivalent.
? Co-op / Internship experience is preferred.
? Ability to work in a fast pace and challenging environment.
? Excellent organizational, communication, and integration skills including the ability to foster and sustain communication between cross-functional groups.
? Must be self-motivated, team oriented and ?hands-on?.
? Must have strong analytical skills and be able to absorb, assimilate and synthesize information quickly.
? Strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with DMM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer and overall lab equipment.
? SW experience, VBA, C++, Python and Verilog.
? Simulation Tool experience is a plus, LT Spice, PADS and CADENCE
