We are seeking exceptional and self-motivated individuals to support the Amazon Robotics system - ensuring optimal safety performance of critical global operations.
In this technical safety role, you will assess and track the status of technical safety products and systems as part of product lifecycle management and global implementation to reduce risk in the early lifecycle phases of new products.
You will establish scalable processes and procedures for implementation of new products into the field, drive prevention through design safety conformance, and safety support of the products being deployed in the network.
This role will functionally partner internally with Core HW/SW Engineering, Human Factors and Ergonomics, System Integration, Functional Safety Engineering, Site EHS teams, and externally with 3Ps, and TUV, etc.
Successful candidates will possess a blend of strong safety knowledge, trouble-shooting capabilities, customer-facing skills, complex problem solving, systems knowledge, strong program skills to monitor global programs, ability to improve process at scale, exceptional ability to execute to goal, along with a passion for cutting edge technology.
Key job responsibilities Support Engineering and Teams and 3Ps to drive prevention through design for various build, commission and test phases per regulatory requirements such as OSHA/NRTL/Machinery Directive, as well as industry standards such as ISO 12100/ANSI B11/NFPA 79/IEC 61508/ISO 13849.
Monitor Amazon Robotics safety systems.
Partner with stakeholders to contain risks identified in Amazon Robotics safety systems.
Drive dashboard development for safety system and metrics.
Analyze trends and report on insights.
Review, provide feedback, and approve technical documentation and procedures.
Leverage support processes, systems, and tools to resolve safety related technical problems.
Track issues through resolution phase, engaging technical subject matter experts as needed to drive to closure Manage, prioritize, and respond to cases within defined SLA's.
Provide technical guidance to Fulfillment Center Operations, Safety, and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot operational challenges.
Provide prompt, efficient, detailed, customer-oriented service to our internal Amazon Customer.
Create and maintain problem resolution procedures and identify need for new tools to support existing solutions.
Use good judgement skills for decision-making and escalate as required.
Work with Engineering (SW/HW), Global Support (HSE/ARTS) and Amazon WHS teams to understand safety issues and solution options.

Travel up to 25% to assess conformance and collect voice of customer to influence design.

RSE provides full life-cycle safety expertise to early detect, recognize and reduce hazards for those working in and around robotic systems.
The team monitors reported safety incidents to identify product or use issues, assesses the risk and then ensures that these issues are resolved.
RSE drives cross-functional teams and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) partners to continuously improve the safety performance of the AR system, processes, and people.
RSE uses data visibility and metrics to inform data-driven decisions for safety.
The mission of New Production Introduction (NPI) Safety Engineering is to reduce the introduction of risk by proactively engaging early in the product's design and development lifecycle.
We uphold a relentlessly high bar in safety to verify compliance with machinery standards and validate the system fits against global standards, field data and end users' expectations to provide a safe work environment.
We support Robotics safety, concept/detailed design reviews, risk assessment inputs and validation of completion, field data inputs, training content, ergonomic assessment monitoring, WHS partner engagement, system integration review, external validation testing review, third party safety assessment of AR products (NRTL certification),PUWER and UWED inspection readiness support and beta exit criteria metrics prior to general availability to ensure systems compliance and safety readiness for general use.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
