Senior Machine Learning / AI Architect
At AutoGuide Mobile Robots we don't just work on components and parts, we create choreography for fleets of cooperative mobile robots. Our autonomous mobile robots are custom designed--from the first piece of steel to the last screw--to move around the biggest, most complex factory floors in the world. We're seeking big-picture thinkers to join our team. As a Senior Machine Learning / AI Architect your job will not only be finding and perfecting the right model(s) and architecture, but also identifying key problems throughout our system that can be solved with machine learning. You will work closely with our global engineering team to coordinate execution and delivery of autonomous forklift solutions by applying machine learning to perception, planning and control aspects of our robotics engineering. We are looking for a leader who will exercises their engineering management knowledge and experience with complex solution development to supporting autonomous forklifts in the US and abroad Responsibilities Utilize knowledge of ML/DL frameworks (I.e. TensorFlow and PyTorch) and reinforcement learning frameworks (I.e. OpenAI Baselines and DeepMind Lab). Provide thought leadership on topics and trends of emerging AI/ML technology. Work with and mentor software engineering team members. Provide technical leadership in areas of specialization and contribute original ideas and improvements to project designs, pipelines, and tools. Play a key role in deciding technologies and related roadmap for development, testing, deployment of AI/machine learning models. years in hands-on experience working with AI/ML algorithms. Strong proficiency and knowledge of technical concepts in data science, analytics, and data manipulation. Outstanding critical thinking skills and ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to mixed and non-technical audiences. Degree in a quantitative discipline. Ability to define and deliver on building blocks related to AI/ML capabilities. Experience developing machine learning systems, frameworks, libraries, and system architecture. Research experience that may include deep learning, computer vision, reinforcement or active learning. Comfortable working with a remote, multidisciplinary, global team with the ability to travel internationally as needed. Experience managing teams or projects. Education BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering, or related field from a university or engineering institution.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
